CEBU CITY – Rank 1st in Top 50 Emerging Global Outsourcing Cities
In the latest Tholons’ research that aims to rank global cities based on how well suited they are for specific IT and BPO functions, Cebu City ranked first in the list of the Top 50 Emerging Outsourcing Cities in the world — besting other cities like Shanghai, Beijing, Hanoi, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Ho Chi Minh City.
The most numerous group of the best outsourcing destinations is located in the Central and Eastern Europe (26%). 14% is situated in East Asia and South America, 10% in the cities of the Middle East and further 10% in South-East Asia. (Tholons.com)

2nd – Shanghai, China
3rd – Beijing, China
4th - Krakow, Poland
5th - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
6th - Buenos Aires, Argentina
7th - Cairo, Egypt
8th - Sao Paulo , Brazil
9th - Shenzhen, China
10th - Hanoi, Vietnam
Also in the same study, the Philippines ranked 2nd as the Top Offshore Nations next to India which is undoubtedly the most mature and established offshore nation today blessed with almost 3.5 million graduates (non-technology courses) and over 500,000 technical graduates being churned annually. More importantly, it possesses largely young population, many who continue to aspire to be a part of the outsourcing industry.
